1930s Small Scale Industrial Drafting Table

A wonderful small scale drafting table. The work table comes straight from the studio of popular Upstate New York watercolorist, Jim Adair and his estate. Jim Adair retired from a career in advertising and moved to the country in 1984 where he opened a winery and continuously painted. Circa 1920-40. The table features a side cabinet that has vertical divider storage for artist's pads and paper, a tilting and periscoping top and four drawers for more materials and artistic media. Stretchered base and two galvanized metal capped feet. Good overall condition. Structurally sound and sturdy. Cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. The bread board tongue and groove top retains all the great patina of use. Minor scuffs and scratches. Ink and paint stains to the top and drawer interiors. The porcelain knobs are older replacements and the locks have been popped out. Approximately 23" deep x 40.25" wide x 30.25" high. The work top extends approximately 62" high. The drawer interiors measure approximately 3.75" wide x 16" deep. The space between the interior cabinet dividers measures approximately 1.5" wide x 25" high.
