French Butcher's Block

About the Item

Discover the exceptional craftsmanship of this singular butcher block, boasting a top meticulously constructed from rectangular Hornbeam wood blocks. Hornbeam, chosen exclusively for its non-splitting characteristics, ensures an enduring surface. The blocks are artfully aligned vertically, significantly extending the block's lifespan, and are firmly secured by four polished steel corner braces. The block's design incorporates a central drawer for convenient storage, while the back is ingeniously equipped with a steel-surrounded slit, providing a safe haven for knives and cleavers. Supported by four sturdy Louis Philippe style beech wood feet, this block stands as a testament to both function and aesthetic. A small metal plate at the front serves as a silent storyteller, revealing the block's origin and creator.
