Vintage French Leather Workshop Table Kitchen Island

About the Item

This rustic workbench, once utilized in a leather workshop in France, embodies strength and durability. Its substantial 3-board top sits atop squared legs, accompanied by a lower planked shelf that runs along the base. Bearing the marks of its rich history, including notches, nicks, and scratches from years of use, this workbench exudes authenticity. Though the drawers have been lost over time, the drawer glides at the front remain intact. Recently cleaned, degreased, and freshened up with a dark espresso stain topped with a protective finish, this workbench is ready for a new life. With its ample surface area and sturdy construction, it would make an exceptional addition to any kitchen as a unique and charming island. Found in France, from the late 19th century. Constructed from solid wood. The thick planked top shows scratches, staining, and character marks from years of use by a craftsman. Burn marks from tools are present. Nailheads and screw heads are present. The workbench has been degreased and cleaned. Although it has been sanded multiple times, the wood is rustic, so splinters are possible. Sturdy with no structural damage. Overall wear is consistent with age and use. Measures approximately 98.75” L x 23.625” D x 33.75” H.
