About the Item

This is a charming pair of nesting tables. The waterleaf or anthemion carving at the tops and bottoms of the legs is a really nice touch. But they are not just beautiful, they are useful as well. The pair are Classical or Empire style oak tables In the English taste. Each of rectangular section with raised panel molded-edged tops raised on squared curing legs with anthemion or waterleaf carving to the knees and feet, joined by a three-sided box stretcher. Stenciled underneath Dimensions: Larger table: 22-1/2 inches high, 26 inches wide, 16 inches deep Smaller table: 21 inches high, 20-1/2 inches wide, 14-1/2 inches deep. The tables came from an estate sale and the condition is good. There is some minor wear visible on the finish that is consistent with age and use.
