Pair of Mahogany Tall Bookshelf Cabinets by Morganton
About the Item
: Uncommon pair of tall mahogany bookshelf nightstands from the Tidewater Collection by Morganton. Bracketed style feet support the deep two door cabinet with solid brass drop ring pulls and round escutcheons. Book case tops have brass sheaves of wheat and scalloped pediments. Would also make a great pair of end tables/bookcases to bracket a petite sofa.
Morganton Furniture Co. was purchased by Drexel Furniture Co. in 1957, while keeping the Morganton imprint. Heirloom build quality, on par with vintage Baker and Henredon.
