20th Century Pedestal Column in the Ancient Antique Louis XVI Style Rosewood
About the Item
Different rosewoods on solid conifers mirrored veneer. Sides with paneled parquet decorated with grid-shaped, perforated wide measuring strips.
Cover plate with stepped veined marble. A conical corpus in a lion's tail, ending on a three-sided retracted plinth in its ends.
The front is framed with mercury mask on sun rays and with crossed branches underneath, underneath, in a rejuvenating form, with flower-bedecked vase, by scrolling leaves and garlands of flowers, flanked by corner fittings with acanthus volutes and garlands. The fittings are distinctive and of exceptionally good quality.
