This side table was recently created for Bangkok design week. This offers a new and unexpected look for our BLTs (Bronze Low Tables), using our expertise with reclaimed wood. We actually used and amazingly rare hard wood we salvaged from an old house near Ayutthaya: Ching Chang wood, in Thailand considered the best of the best.

This is one of the first P. Tendercool designs, inspired by Mies van der Rohe’s cross-shaped columns used in the Barcelona pavilion. This handy table is hand-made by welding extruded cross-profiled brass rods in one continuous, 90 degrees angled line: sounds easy, is hard.

We know we didn't invent the square or rectangular table, but our BLTs are truly unique in their sleek simplicity and amazing functionality: our cross-profile frames fit any flat top without having to fix a thing: no screws, no welding, no nothing.
Inspired by the sandwich we let you choose your toppings: Mondriaan your BLTs with any color Tempered Glass tops or order your BLTs, frame only, and top them off with any material you love: Marble, Slate, Wood, Leather,...
You may want to add glass bottoms to keep your table clean and organized.

Our textured, custom-made Bronze tops are hyper-chic, super-sexy and sand-cast to perfection, reason why we sign every single BLT, by hand naturally.

BLTs are inspired by the iconic cross profile columns in Mies Van der Rohe's Barcelona Pavilion and are a whopping 100% hand-made by Italian bronze-master Armando and his team. Armando is hitting eighty and doesn't even think of retiring, he simply loves his job, and we dearly love him.
Since the 1950s his uncle and later Armando himself headed a major foundry in Milano. He used to craft for Sculptors like Salvador Dali. Can't get more Old School then Armando! He is now sharing his vast experience with us.

Important notes
100% hands, no robots
BLT frames
P.Tendercool's BLT frames are made with extruded brass rods and are 100% cut, welded, cleaned, brushed and finished by Hand. Which means BLTs will never be machine-perfect: some edges will be a bit rounded or very slightly out of angle. This may leave tiny gaps when placed together and some welding traces will always be visible. BLTs show our hands...
BLTs can be used outdoors but be aware that Brass and Bronze oxidizes: although we apply a protective, maintenance-free primer-coating, minor discoloration over time will occur. Antique dealers call this Patina. Expect this mainly with our naked BLTs, which show the natural brass, This patination phenomenon is perfectly normal, inevitable and intentional. BLTs will age with grace.
BLT glass tops
We offer a range of tempered glass tops in a great many colors, or send us your swatch and we'll match. We advise not to sit or stand on our BLTs with glass tops and note glass tops typically are a few mm smaller than the frames to ensure they'd always fit: minor gaps between glass and frames are normal.

Bespoke Furniture – Haute Manufacture
We create bespoke. handmade, made-to-order furniture for some of the most discerning interior designers, private clients and hospitality leaders.
P. Tendercool creates tables of all shapes and sizes, leather chairs & stools and recently developed their first collection of sofa's and daybeds.
We use antique or reclaimed hardwood and honor traditional crafts: sand-cast bronze and brass, true French polishing, home-made wax and the works.
We do not participate at any design or furniture fairs, and don’t work through resellers.
Our creations are market-fresh, only available at our gallery or our open workshop in Bangkok... and online.
We design at our own pace and present new creations only when we feel we are ready.

We make furniture we would buy ourselves. If we didn't like our own creations why would you love them?
We strive to be transparent in everything we do: we offer great photos of finished creations, images of production process, we show how we crate and create, how we handle shipping and offer videos on how to unpack, mount and maintain our creations.
