About the Item
Inhabitual Atelier, emerges from the idea of creating products with different shapes, in uncommon materials, challenging the processes and the material itself. We are an experimental studio, focused on the creation of unique furniture. Our inspiration comes from the essence of the materials that we use on each piece.
Inhabitual Atelier seeks to design pieces with atypical silhouettes.
Within our design methodology, we consider the handicraft processes
of each of the materials to understand and work hand to hand with the artisans experts on each one of them.
For this first collection, we chose volcanic stone and brass because of the great contrast between them. The brass, because of its color, gives us warmth, lightness, and delicacy, on the other hand, the stone is a cold material with rough texture, that creates a complex visual language that speaks for itself, expressing strength, malleability, and firmness. This combination gives us a perfect harmony between delicacy and resistance.
Every piece is different and unique with artisanal production.

Inhabitual Atelier
Inhabitual Atelier, emerges from the idea of creating products with different shapes, in uncommon materials, challenging the processes and the material itself. We are an experimental workshop, focused on the creation of unique furniture. Our inspiration comes from the essence of the materials that we use on each piece. Our interest is to design pieces with atypical silhouettes that represent the raw material. Within our design methodology, we procure to consider the artisanal processes of each of the materials to understand and work hand to hand with the artisans.
We are based in Mexico City.
