Cedric Hartman Side or End "Model AE" Table Black Granite & Nickel Plating 1970s
About the Item
Made in the 1970s, this table was designed by architect and edgineer Cedric Hartman. In the beginning of his career, he made a name for himself with the iconic 1UWV floor lamp, but soon became known for extremely high production quality and exacting precision comparable to dedicated engineering firms. This piece is no different. The components of the base are completely solid metal with precision machined components and attachment points. In some places, the seams are difficult to photograph because they are so smoothly built. The nickel plated base is complemented by a finely textured black granite top, adding a layer of visual depth. On top of the visual appeal of this table, the build makes this an absolute tank in the world of furniture, having sustained a half-century of use with next to zero damage. It could easily last until your children have children and beyond with minimal care. No expense was spared on production.
In very, very nice original vintage condition. Absolutely zero significant damage, light wear to the metal.
