Classico Scomposto - CLS 01 Contemporary side table in travertine

About the Item

Classico Scomposto deconstructs the conceptual and concrete idea of stability of the travertine. The project investigates a different and unusual perception, far from the collective consciousness. The classic forms break down, the stone is stained with new chromatic relationships which define a hybrid, multifaceted future time. The first objects of this new research are two small side tables: essential elements recontextualized, which showcase the artisan tradition of travertine stucco. The atypical surfaces denote the contemporary as a reflection of continuous contamination and modification between natural and artificial. Available upon request in different plaster colours. NOTE: As a natural material, travertine can exhibit variations both in terms of color and veins. These variations are inherent to its natural origin and, as a result, they represent a distinctive element of uniqueness and authenticity of the material itself.
