Young visual artist and self-taught wood sculptor, Boris Ndjantou is the creator of the tables marketed under the high-end furniture brand BIOME DESIGN. Made in Toulouse (Occitanie), respectful of the environment and users, these unique pieces with a contemporary look are fashioned from sections of wood from sustainable forests, sometimes alloyed with vegetable resins or light metals. Natural, renewable and living, wood contains a rich symbolic conducive to benevolence and comfort in a contemporary era where the need to reconnecting with our environment is urgent. The great qualities of this ancestral Material have led Boris Ndjantou to choose it as the central element of his creations. To complete his process in favor of the planet, the Toulouse visual artist has selected non-recovered raw materials: strains abandoned from logging as well as than the trunks of trees torn from the earth by the vagaries natural. “Visual artist, wood sculptor, cabinetmaker, furniture designer, my life course is in the image of the world: it has never stopped evolving. These singular experiences all had in common to bring me back to the work of the Material and particularly of wood.
