Early Victorian mahogany sewing table
About the Item
Early Victorian mahogany sewing table circa 1840.
Good quality metamorphic sewing table which is strong with regency influences.
Top surface rotates and opens to form a baized work area, it also allows partial access to the fully fitted drawer. Below the top surface the drawer opens to reveal compartments for storage, a further pull out fabric lined drawer hangs between the legs and stretcher. Supported by extravagant scrolling legs united by stretcher.
Would make an excellent side table in today's home.
Very close to original condition, with good colour and patina. Expected surface marks to woodwork.
