About the Item
An elegant Viennese Empire side table in mahogany, crafted around 1810. The table features a single drawer and rests on gracefully curved C-shaped legs with brass sabots. An elevated, octagonal lower shelf adds an architectural element to the design.
The chamfered corners are adorned with fine bronze appliqués, while the paneling and edges are accented with refined brass inlays. The key escutcheon is also embellished with a decorative bronze fitting.
Professionally restored and hand-polished, the table highlights the natural beauty of the wood grain and its exquisite craftsmanship. A fine example of Viennese Empire furniture.
