A George I Carved and Gilt Gesso Table
About the Item
A fine and rare carved gesso console table circa 1720 having a molded and floral carved gesso top resting on a shaped apron having floral carved cabriole legs terminating in stylized Spanish feet. Restoration to the gilding, the top restored with water gilding and the base with oil gilding, all dry stripped.
