Georgian mahogany Pembroke table with marquetry inlay
About the Item
This is a superb quality very elegant Georgian Pembroke table. Solid mahogany and gorgeous design. The sides fold down neatly and are easy to set up as well. Clean overall condition with an attractive light aged patina. The best detail for me however is the banded detail around the top but also set into the vertical curved edge of the table top again all the way around! An incredible amount of skill is required to do this this well and fine. There is also more banding on the back panel. Single drawer that opens and closes smoothly.

Every detail is beaten and shaped by hand from the patina on the table to the tools used to create this table. The tools themselves were made specifically for this design making it truly unique. Fabulous patina is given to the table through the process of manufacture. The central stem with swage detail is made from one bar and shaped by hand. The top and base plate are cut, then hammered and pressed to shape meaning you get an attractive irregularity because of the hand made nature. These are the nesting set with our original 'Brokkr' table partnered with the 'Brokkr' dwarf table...Category
