Laila; Modular Geometric Contemporary Ceramic and Glass Table by Pedro Cerisola

About the Item

Laila is a piece of furniture derived from the experimental CÚMULOS project. Using enameled ceramic modules for their construction, Pedro Cerisola discovers new approaches to apply this singular form to the design of daily objects. Inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s Synergetics, one of the foundational texts in contemporary geometrical studies in which Fuller reflects on the modular possibilities of the cuboctahedron (in geometry, a polyhedron with eight triangular faces and six square vertices).
