If you are looking for a large and impressive sidetable to grace your entrance or another room that can do with a top-quality-eyecatcher-table then this large and superb condition specimen could be perfect for you. This side table in the Louis Seize Style is very impressive both because of its extra large size and for its amazing and intricate carvings. We have never seen an antique side table of this size and even without the marble top we immediately knew we had to have it. Also, because the entire wooden frame and all the detailed carvings are in truly excellent condition. With a statement piece like this in a large entrance or in any other large living space people will always be in awe and they will probably stop and want to study/take a closer look at this amazing, early 1900s European workmanship table. Where (in this day and age) can you still find anything even remotely close to what the artisans have accomplished in creating this work of beauty. You could have a marble top made, but you could also use a wooden top and have it 'marble painted'. This large antique side table with the dovetail connections in the back corners can be screwed tight to your wall via the three holes in the back (we only used the one in the middle) and it still stands as strong and stable as the day it was hand-crafted. The many scrolling details, the cannelures, the rose guirlandes, the rosettes, the acanthus leaves, the vase at the base, the laurel leaf patterns etc etc. We have never seen such an abundance of quality carvings ever. Again, for this antique table to be in this superb condition is like an ode to its maker(s), but also to its former owners.
