Pair of Olive Ash Burl Wood Side Tables by Pace

About

These two tables are covered in gorgeous olive ash burl, with bookmatched veneers. The Pace Collection of the 1970s specialized in offering stylish and extremely luxurious furniture of a type not available elsewhere; their prices were correspondingly high. A Pace trademark was the use of rare wood veneers covered in high-gloss finishes, supported by trim in polished stainless steel. The 1970s enthusiasm for Art Deco was undoubtedly responsible for many of Pace's aesthetic choices (the stepped form of the legs of these two side tables is certainly of Art Deco inspiration), but Leon Rosen's designs for Pace were actually quite original in conception, and very much of their time.
