Square Drop Console Table by Nów

About the Item

Square drop console table by Nów. Designed by Square Drop. Dimensions: D 60 x W 120 x H 76 cm Materials: stained, solid ash wood, brass hardware, natural stone. Agnieszka Sniadewicz-Swica, owner of Square Drop restoration lab, has been an art historian and a restorer for 20 years (diploma from Warsaw University and The Academy of Fine Arts). Her company continues a family tradition of furniture and fine art restoration. Together with a team of skilled craftsmen she takes on even the most challenging conservation jobs, bringing heritage objects back to their glory. She also does commissions – creative concepts from modern designers, and bespoke orders from individual clients. Square Drop makes one-off pieces and limited series, using the best quality materials and finest craftsmanship techniques. A modern reinterpretation of the form of furniture consisting of a set of open shelves that originated in France in the second half of the 18th century. Thanks to the height adjustable top, the traditional form can also double as a side table, which greatly increases its functionality. Nów: We are artisans and promoters of handcrafted production. We come from different parts of Poland, we have different professional experiences. We draw from tradition, although we do not strictly adhere to artisanal rules. We choose the freedom to experiment - with form, material, and the production process. We spread knowledge about contemporary Polish crafts in the country and abroad. We represent the interests of craftsmen in contacts with public institutions and business. Together, we create the New Moon Association. New Craft - an organization of modern craftsmen. Originators of the New Moon Association. New Craft are Olga Milczynska and Malgorzata Herman from Projekt Pracownie.
