'Strumenti Musicali' Drinks / Side Tables by Piero Fornasetti, c 1970s, Signed

About the Item

These gorgeous collectors items are the 'Strumenti Musicali' (Musical Instruments in Italian) side tables by Piero Fornasetti, signed underneath with original labels. Priced individually, we have two available. This pair of drinks / side tables are made with lacquered wood that have a musical instruments motif and is affixed on top of a brass tri-pod base that is removable for easy and economical shipping or transport. These tables have been completely restored, the top has been re-lacquered with a French Polish clear coat which protects the finish / surface and the artwork below as well adding greater vibrancy and depth to the colors and the brass legs have been gently polished. Some signs of age and patina still present underneath the finish which adds to the beauty of this simple yet beautiful piece. The Strumenti Musicali aka 'Musical Instruments' motif is documented in the book "Fornasetti, The Complete Universe". This rare set is sought after by interior designers and collectors alike. Perfect piece to add a little splash of whimsy and intrigue into your interior decor. With Zoom meetings from home now a commonplace daily activity - portable side tables are so much more valuable to possess... impress your friends and colleagues with this gorgeous Fornasetti side table as either your mobile device stand or a drinks table next to your chair. This intriguing side table by Piero Fornasetti would work excellent as a small table to place a book or a drink on top of, and placed next to your bed, reading chair, TV chair or living room lounge chairs or sofa. Also consider as a plant stand or column to display an art piece or your favorite framed photo of a loved one. Contact us for more details on our collection of Fornasetti lamps, tables, bar carts, mirrors, umbrella stands and more. This Pierro Fornassetti occasional table would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Post-Modern room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. MEASUREMENTS: H 21" x 14.5" Diameter CONDITION: Excellent condition with very light patina to brass. We gave the top a new French Polish clear coat for greater vibrance to color and protection of the artwork and surface. Underneath the new finish you can still see signs of age. • 'Butterflies' Dining Table by Piero Fornasetti, circa 1970s Italy, Signed
    By Piero Fornasetti
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
This pièce de résistance collectors item is the 'Farfalle' (translated to 'Butterflies') dining table by Piero Fornasetti, circa 1970s, signed underneath with its original studio label. Table height is a perfect 29.25" for dining but also ideal as a cafe, gaming or center table. Such incredible artistry, this round Fornasetti dining table is made with lithographic transfer and lacquered wood that has a white background with colorful butterfly motif and is affixed via screws to a white tulip styled base. One of my favorite aspects of this table is how some of the butterflies cascade down into the edge of the table giving a 3-dimensional effect. The top has been masterfully re-lacquered in a French Polish and looks so incredible - it looks like a sheet of water is floating above the butterflies because it is so clear, vibrant, glossy and smooth while protecting the artwork underneath for decades to come. The 'Farfalle' aka 'Butterflies' motif is documented in the book "Fornasetti, The Complete Universe". This rare piece is sought after by interior designers and collectors alike. Perfect piece to add a little splash of whimsy and intrigue into your interior decor. Contact us for more details on our collection of Fornasetti lamps, tables, bar carts, mirrors, umbrella stands and more. Photographed with the table are Robert Venturi post-modern 'Queen Anne' chairs for Knoll International and Hans Hopfer for Roche Bobois Mah Jong's in Missoni fabrics along with a Missoni Home rug...
