Unusually Charming 19th Century Swedish Folk Art Table
About the Item
Charming small folk art table from northern Sweden. The table is unusually charming with a large oversized table top and smaller frame. It’s completely hand-made in Swedish pine and every detail is carefully considered. Made during the early 1800s, around 1810, the table has some wear and distress after time and use. The size and proportions makes it an excellent side table with plenty of character in smaller package.
The blue paint is original, and a luxurious choice at the time the table was made, with some distress. The patina of the table is completely genuine and the distress allows the pine underneath to shine trough in places for added character. To finish off the table has a small drawer with a hand-carved wooden drawer pull.
