About the Item
It is a sculpture, or a table, elaborately turned from a solid block of wood. As a side table, the grain cut side table can be placed wherever it is needed due to its flexible handles.
It is a shelf for your favorite book or a glass of wine or cup of tea. As a sculpture in the room it attracts attention and sparks discussions about art and design.
Ash’s characteristically unique patina and strength makes it the ideal material for tables.
The solid wood pieces are edge-glued at high pressure using a waterproof adhesive. This process gives the table its stability and weightiness.
The hygroscopic properties of wood mean that this natural material can absorb and release moisture. The size of the individual pieces of wood changes with the temperature and relative humidity of the room, meaning that cracks may appear in the wood and the lacquer.
There is no way to fully prevent the appearance of these cracks.
