Art Deco Modernist Sky Scraper Style Large Accent Table, England, 1930s

About the Item

A fabulous Art Deco "Sky Scraper" style, two sided, large accent table, made in England around 1930. Stunning mahogany veneer with original finish. This large accent table is extremely versatile. It can be used as a bedside table, an entryway table, a floating sofa table (access from both sides makes it very unique), or a pedestal. The long drawer slides smoothly and open up from both sides of the table. The book/magazine cubby runs through the table as well and is accessible from both sides. Wonderful asymmetric form. This piece is in its original condition. There is cosmetic wear to the original lacquered finish, and various veneer chips along the edges. This cosmetic wear only amplifies the character of the piece. It is wonderful in it existing original condition, but could also be restored by the buyer to look perfect. Super solid and sturdy.
