1986 Memphis Style Game and Dining Tables Glossy Black Gray Cream Lacquer
About the Item
A 3-pieces set of game and/or dining tables by Italian manufacturer Sormani, carried out for a contract work in the USA in 1986. These three tables are an example of very functional Memphis style objects. The top of the tables is double face: one side is glossy gray lacquered and the other side is gray felt, ideal to play cards with friends after dinner... The top can be easily twisted with no tools.
The color hues have been carefully chosen: glossy black, gray and cream white.
The four legs, with a sculptural effect, are built so they can function as chip or glass holders, while the players enjoy the game.
The inner top measures 80 x 80 cm, while the whole tabletop is 120 x 120 cm.
The black outer frame of the top may need relacquering: it does show wear.
The rest of the lacquer is in good conditions, besides a couple of chipped-off corners.
