19th Century Antique Specimen Marble Table

About the Item

Once an incredibly popular decorative piece among the European elite, this antique specimen marble table is a collector’s item of magnificent beauty. Dating from the mid-19th century, it is exceptionally crafted in richly toned rosewood and features an octagonal shaped top inlaid with eggs and irregular shaped hardstones such as agate, lapis, verde and onyx among other beautiful stones. An antique occasional table of quality craftsmanship, the spectacular surface of marble specimens sits upon a turned and carved column with triform base between brass hardware to the surface edge, column base and feet. This specimen table is in good condition, having stood the test of time for more than 180 years, becoming a beautiful feature piece of a period interior once more.
