19th Century Finely Carved Anglo Indian Teak Tilt-Top Tripod Table

About the Item

A finely carved with an unusual base 19th century Anglo-Indian solid teak tilt-top tripod / occasional table. India, Possibly Bombay, circa 1840. The circular solid teak top with an egg and dart carved edge over an intricately pierced frieze depicting fruiting vines, raised on leaf carved baluster pedestal and ornately carved acanthus leaf draped cabriole legs finishing on knuckled paw feet. In wonderful waxed condition with an excellent color and patina. Note the unusual carved legs.
