About the Item
Architectural maunsell table designed and handmade in England using traditional furniture making techniques. Completely handcrafted from prime English ash. Hand-turned legs jointed through and flush to the main surface.
A solid and striking piece of architectural furniture built to last.
Finished in friendly durable oil.
Also available in English oak and American Black Walnut.
Side table versions available in our listings.
These pieces are completely bench-made by hand in England and bear the individual, telltale and tactile signs of the craftspersons work.
We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is quite costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
