Danish Mid-Century Rosewood Extension Dining Table, c. 1960's
About the Item
Slim and stylish in its sleek proportions, this Danish mid-century extension dining table has a versatile appearance, well-suited to any modern or traditional interior alike. In typical 20th century Scandinavian Functionalist fashion, minimalist design prioritizing utilitarian function has replaced any signs of gaudy ornamentation. Finely tapered legs support a rectangular slab top, crafted of handsomely figured book-matched rosewood veneer of a warm, rich tone. Two integral pull-out extension leaves add ample width to this otherwise unimposing table. c. 1960's.
