About the Item

Handsome vintage Neoclassical round dining table or center table black painted with an all-over age distressed finish and gold details. Beautiful, distressed condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been restored or refinished. It has an all-over beautifully aged patina which includes wear to the painted finish especially at the feet where it is missing some paint. It has fading, nicks, dings, and several scratches. You cannot create this look artificially. Please see photos and zoom in for details as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Early 20th Century. A delicate and beautifully aged piece like this table does not come around often. And just to be perfectly clear… it has an ALL over aged patina including some fading, a few nicks & dings, and several scratches. You cannot create this look artificially and we ABSOLUTELY love it and its unique appearance. We think it is “perfectly imperfect.” It’s painted black with gold trim around the edge of the top, apron, and legs which splay out at the feet. It is Neoclassical in style, but we can see it mixing with so many other styles from Art Deco and Art Nouveau to a home with a farmhouse or traditional vein and possibly even an industrial or steampunk loft. This lovely round table would be perfect in a small dining room, a breakfast nook, sunroom, or garden room, or in the corner of your living room adorned with a fabulous sculpture or foliage. It would be a beautiful bedside table, lamp table, or even as a center table in an entry. And it has a division in the center and will pull apart however, it does not have leaves.
