Extendable book table. Walnut and walnut root, 19th century.
Dining table extendable to three meters of a type known as a book due to its way of folding, which has turned legs in the shape of balusters topped with metal rollers to move the furniture, and has been made combining walnut and walnut root wood , exposing the striking grain of this type of material. The piece recalls in some details Victorian examples from northern Europe."
