About the Item

This large-sized petrified wood table base is indeed impressive! The petrified wood base has a smooth polished finish throughout, with the natural texture displayed down the open center. This piece has been fashioned from a single piece of petrified wood, which is a fossil. Over time, the petrified wood becomes so sturdy and dense that it is as heavy as marble. This substantial piece weighs in at a whopping 1,100 pounds! (So please be mindful of the weight for appropriate placement within your home, and man power needed to move it!) The coloring is a beautiful mixture of bone, black, grey tones with small areas of medium brown. The base is ready to be topped with a nice piece of glass, or other tabletop of your choosing. This massive petrified wood table base is an exquisite example of organic design, compliments of Mother Nature.
