From 1954 on he attended the Benedictine Secondary School in Pannonhalma connected to a famous monastery. 1956, after the crushing of the Hungarian uprising against the communist regime, he fled with his mother and brother via Vienna to Bonn. In 1960 he attained his "Abitur" (A level) and started to study architecture at the Technical University of Aachen specializing on constructional engineering. This is a very rare model coffee table, we contacted Peter Ghyczy, who told us that this table was issued once in 1990 for a large fair, the IMM in Cologne in the early 1990s. At that time 10 tables were made and this is one of them. Therefore, if you are a fan of Ghyczy, this can be a nice addition. Information about Peter Ghyczy. German designer Peter Ghyczy was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1940. After political turmoil, Ghyczy's family fled Budapest in 1956, first to Vienna and then to Bonn in Germany. After graduating, Ghyczy worked on a large number of designs by furniture makers and factories in Germany, including Vitra.
