About the Item
A mid-century American accent table with steel base and fossilized marble top. This American-made table, circa 1960, has a rectangular-shaped fossilized marble top, which is raised upon a steel base. The legs are comprised of a pair of round/slender posts at either far end, which join together in a concaved, semi-circular fashion attaching with a circular "o" in a contrasting gold tone at center. More gold tone accents are found just above the feet, with an x-stretcher braced along bottom at underside of the table. A round and gold toned medallion accent adorns the stretcher where they meet at the center. Though the table is comprised of marble and steel, the design gives it an overall light and airy feel. This mid-century table is just over 3 feet in length, making it a versatile piece which could be used throughout the home as an accent table or smaller sized console.
