Sewing Table / Column Historism, Austria, circa 1880

About the Item

Beautiful carved sewing table/ column from the so called Historism period in Austrian, circa 1880. Artfully shaped out of beech wood and trimmed to a nut wood look, this column can be totally disassembled. On top you will find the needle box with a lid, below there is a practical bowl to hold your threads or wool. A nice shaped base with three short bulbous legs completes this sewing column. But it could be also used in other ways, for example as holder for massive candles or as a small side table, just be creative!
