Jordi Sarrate is a product designer and sculptor based in Barcelona, Spain, and the third generation of furniture makers in his family.
The gallery presents 'Jeans' collection sculpted on Iberian walnut wood and finished with indigo blue patina. Jeans is a symbol of inner rebellion and unconditional freedom. Sarrate blends the beauty of savage wood with identity of jeans and lets them beautifully age together. The 'Jeans' collection is presented by table, console and a stool and will be issued in a limited edition of 10 pieces.
The external beauty of nature is visible to everyone. For Sarrate, it is the nutrition for his work. Especially the mountains, forests, trees, wood, stones, cold wind, snow, sun and the horizon line of the sea. All these elements are essential for him and represent life itself. Sarrate believes in sustainability as a way of life and also applies it to his work.
