Venetian Round Glass Table with Representative Steel Base
About the Item
Large glass table with a steel base in the shape of a stem with the functionality of support covered in mirrored glass and black lacquered wood.
The round glass top is divided into 8 segments of which 4 depict figures inspired by Gio Ponti, one of the most important architects and designers in Italy.
The central part of the upper floor is black glass.
This table is dated Venice 1960/65 and comes from a house that Le Corbusier has designed, this was later demolished.
Perhaps this work is attributed to the designer Gio Ponti, but there is no apparent certainty.
