This is a wide antique tilt-top table. An English, mahogany reception hall or breakfast table, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1780. Striking table with generous proportion and superb figuring Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks present fine grain interest and deep caramel hues Great Size for use in a large reception hall or as a breakfast table Excellent single piece circular top with a diameter of 3 feet (36.25'') Tilting mechanism held securely with a brass sliding clasp Raised upon a turned baluster support with collared finish Stout tripod base with broad cabriole legs and rounded pad feet This is an exceptional antique tilt-top table, with delightful colour and a distinctive single piece top with fine figuring.
