Abstract Geometric Serigraph "Temple of Light" by Walter Allner
About the Item
An abstract geometric serigraph entitled "Temple of Light" by listed artist Walter Heinz Allner, circa 1973. The modernist print, rendered in flat areas of color with precise edges, features two large black triangles framing a central diagonal band that is filled with a series of pyramids. The work is unsigned. and the overall dimensions are 22" x 22" (the print image is 16" x 16"). It is presented behind a white mat, in a white and black acrylic frame and is ready to hang with a wire. #3224
Allner studied at the German Bauhuas School under some of the leading figures of the Modernist movement, including Josef Albers, Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee. He went on to become a noted graphic designer and art director, spending twelve years as an influential art director at Fortune magazine.
