About the Item
'All'Ultimo Respiro' is a hand-tufted wool tapestry woven as a unique piece in 2014 by Barbara Nahmad. It is clearly inspired by the iconic scene in 'Gone with the Wind' and it is part of a series of works she conceived in 2014.
Barbara Nahmad was born in Milan in 1967, where she currently lives and works. She is a graduate of the Accademia della Belle Arti of Brera, Milan, where she earned her Diploma in 1990. Her work has been exhibited, among others, in solo shows at the Studio Cannaviello in Milan, at the Ermanno Tedeschi Gallery in Turin, Rome and Tel Aviv and at the Jewish Museum in Bologna. She participated in collective exhibitions in various prestigious venues such as the PAC and Palazzo Reale in Milan, the Venice Art Biennale and more recently at the Fondazione Re Rebaudengo in Turin and the Fondazione Cini in Venice.
