About the Item
Offered for sale is a big "Esplosioni" (Explosions) by Italian painter Eugenio Galli, an abstract artist who has been researching the themes of light and substance for well over thirty years. He started his artistic journey as a figurative painter, under the guidance of Gianni Arde, and later moved on to non-figurative subjects as he felt the need to explore transcendence. At that point, he established a creative space highlighted by soft, delicate use of colour.
The present piece, painted in 2018, is painted in full white - the color he loves most, as it conveys light and substance in their purest form. Created applying layers of different materials on a panel. It measures 100 by 100cm and the overall thickness is around 15cm.
