Contemporary painting by the Spanish artist Carlota Pérez de Castro. Made on canvas using mixed techniques.
Carlota Pérez de Castro has been surrounded by artists and creatives her entire life; the artistic family environment she grew up in has certainly added to her passion. After becoming the youngest woman to exhibit at the Cibeles Palace, she decided to go to Australia to make a name for herself far from her family lineage. The global pandemic situation forced the artist to return to Spain before being able to inaugurate her exhibition. She found the positive side and since her confinement in Almería her creativity exploded, she painted a total of 77 works that she gathered in the exhibition “La Gestual” in a renovated equestrian center in a small town in Almeria. Upon returning to her city of origin, Madrid, she saw the frustration of the young artists and started a “Walking Exhibition” together with two other painters.
