Miguel Pablo and Manuel Pedro Rosado live and work in Sevilla. They are twin brothers who work under the name MP & MP Rosado. They have studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville and the School of Fine Arts in Athens. They received a doctorate in Fine Arts from the University of Seville where today they work as associate professors. Since the mid-90s, MP & MP Rosado have developed a work based on the constituent mechanisms of individual speech of the subject and their environment. Their paradoxical condition as twins has allowed them to explore the notions of duality and alter ego, and the construction of the individual and collective self; “like a huge mirror in which we cognize ourselves”. Perhaps for this reason, the presence of the doublé is constantly reoccurring in their work, simulating there sulting ambiguity of duplication, reflection and repetition.
