Depicting Paul Cézanne's Workshop, with an outdoor balcony in the foreground during sunset and containing furniture, flowers and two Cézanne paintings, and in the background a view of trees and the French flag".     A wonderfully composed, abstract designed limited edition silkscreen serigraph print by American artist Dean Meeker. This work is titled "Portofino" and is one of his more elusive/rare and hard-to-find images. The print is hand-pencil signed, titled, and numbered (Edition of 50) by the artist. Dean Jackson Meeker (born in Madison, Wisconsin, 1920-2002) was an internationally recognized sculptor, painter, and printmaker. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Wisconsin. In 1958, Meeker was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for 1959 and 1960 to study printmaking in Europe. In Paris, he worked at Hayter's printmaking workshop, Atelier 17, and with printmaker Kaiko Moti while also studying in museums in Spain and Italy. Meeker's works are in collections worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian, Milwaukee Art...
