Depicting Paul Cézanne's Workshop, with an outdoor balcony in the foreground during sunset and containing furniture, flowers and two Cézanne paintings, and in the background a view of trees and the French flag". This work is titled "Portofino" and is one of his more elusive/rare and hard-to-find images. The print is hand-pencil signed, titled, and numbered (Edition of 50) by the artist. Dean Jackson Meeker (born in Madison, Wisconsin, 1920-2002) was an internationally recognized sculptor, painter, and printmaker. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University, and the University of Wisconsin. In 1958, Meeker was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for 1959 and 1960 to study printmaking in Europe.
