Limited edition mixed media lithograph "Doily Girl" by Italian artist Enrico Baj, circa 1969. The piece, in the Neo-Dada style, is nicely presented floating in a grey wood frame with cream mat; the image measures 21.5" x 28" (overall framed piece is 28" x 34.5"). The work is metal foil and doilys on white woven paper and is signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right; it is numbered 82/100 in the lower left (there is also the publishers impression in the lower left of the print). Enrico Baj was an Italian writer and artist. He is known for his prints, sculptures but especially collage. He was close to the surrealist and dada movements and was later associated with CoBrA. As an author he has been described as a leading promoter of the avant-garde.
