Mata Hari

About the Item

Original Swedish film poster from the 1931. This film was broadly based on the life of Mata Hari, a Dutch exotic dancer and courtesan who was a German spy during World War I. Greta Garbo starred as the title role, alongside Ramon Novarro and Lionel Barrymore. For over thirty years this poster was in a private Swedish collection, and was originally obtained direct from the printer, and as a result is unfolded. This is an exceptionally rare Swedish poster, that has only surfaced a couple of times over the past 20 years.
