19th Century French Ceramic Barbotine Wall Platter with Apples Signed Longchamp

About the Item

This colorful, antique Majolica plate was sculpted in France, circa 1880. The large, round, hand painted platter features pink flowers and three red and yellow apples hanging from a tree branch covered with green leaves. The sculpted additions are in high relief, and painted in a soft, pastel palette. The porcelain plate should be hung on a kitchen or breakfast room wall as decoration, and is stamped Longchamp on the back. This ceramic piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns rich colors on a light blue and brown background. Small repair on a leaf. Hook in the back for easy installation. Measures: 12.75" diameter.
