Chinese Relief Carved Architectural Panel with Fruit and Flora, c. 1850

About the Item

It’s difficult to pinpoint what makes this handcrafted panel so impressive: the artful relief carvings of seasonal fruit and lush, foliage-filled vases or the spruce wood’s prominent and expressive grain. Both are beautifully preserved in this hundred-year-old, tri-part panel that was once part of the architectural format of a well-appointed Qing dynasty home.
