French Gold metal Wall Light in the Style of Baguès - 1940 France

About the Item

Elegant wall lamp inspired by the creation of the Baguès house "maison Baguès". It has three lights. The set forms a sword decorated with plant elements such as roses, daisies and foliage. This large sconce is made of metal with a pretty gilded patina. This wall light is really very original and decorative. Bulbs can be placed on the 3 bobeches to illuminate or the wall light can be used only for wall decoration France - Art Deco Baguès was created in 1840 in Auvergne by Noël Baguès. The company then specialized in the creation and manufacture of liturgical bronzes. With the widespread use of electricity, Baguès successfully launched lighting bronzes in 1860. At the beginning of the 20th century, chandeliers were exported to London, Brussels, New York, Rome and even Cairo. In the 1920s, Baguès created its own models in fine ironwork: this was the birth of the collection with its characteristic foliage and parrots. Baguès is a luxurious French house.
