Large Sculptural Brutalist Wall Panel in Teak and Pine, Italy 1970s
About the Item
This abstract wall panel was made in Italy in the 1970s and has a particularly high decorative quality. The movement to which we can attribute this object is brutalism due to its coarse structure and repetitive formal language. Its design primarily consists of four layers of varnished pine wood that overlap each other. This has created a relief with shadows that stands out beautifully against the wall.
Design
Each panel is respectively made up of eight, seven or six wooden parts. The front panel is made of teak and acts as an intermediate layer for the abstract shape of pine wood at the front and the layers behind it.Positioned against a rear wall not only provides a spectacular appearance, but also creates dynamism and breaks through generic views of the interior. It can therefore rightly be called a conversation piece. In addition, the gold-colored patina of the wood radiates a pleasant warmth.

- Nerone & Patuzzi Zinc Headboard Panel, Italy, 1970sBy Nerone and PatuzziLocated in Hellouw, NLThis Nerone & Patuzzi zinc head panel, produced in the seventies, stands as a remarkable example of artistic expression. Crafted by Nerone Cecciarelli and Giancarlo Patuzzi, masters of working with forms of zinc, this piece showcases a beautiful example of that. The zinc is skillfully treated with acid, resulting in an interplay of light across its surfaces, where smooth and shiny areas contrast with rough and dark textures. The head panel's design features lines that meticulously trace furrows and define distinct surfaces, each possessing a stark and essential geometry. The deliberate arrangement of shapes creates a harmonious composition that captures the viewer's attention. The artist's technique produces a relief effect, adding depth and dimension to the forms on the panel. Within this abstract artwork, one cannot help but notice echoes of avant-garde pioneers like Joan Miró and Picasso...Category
