Majolica Palissy Lizard Footed Platter Pull, circa 1870

About the Item

Palissy footed platter on a blue brown mottled background with a large lizard on the centre, on the platter severals white shells and different leaves attributed to Georges Pull. The School of Paris is composed by makers as Victor Barbizet, Francois Maurice, Thomas Sergent, Georges Pull, it's a group of ceramists who produced Palissy pieces at the end of 19th century. Reference / Page 133 "Palissy ware" of M. Katz.
